Who can be a candidate?
According to the constitution, three conditions must be fulfilled to be a candidate for the presidential election of the United States. Candidates must be natural born US citizens, at least 35 years of age and have lived in the US for 14 years.However, there is an exception to the last condition for members of the US military.
